THE VISIONARIES

.

The short (90 second) slide show here
is a series of paintings from northern New
Mexico, set to the music of Robert Mirabal
from Taos Pueblo.

"THE VISIONARIES" is one of the recent
chapters in THE SANTA FE SERIES, an
ongoing "webzine" of sorts, that's about
trains, and Indians, and a city, and holy faith,
and much more.

THE VISIONARIES chapter is about the art and artists
of the Taos and Santa Fe art colonies, their
relationship with the Santa Fe Railway, etc.
It's one of what is now sixteen chapters in
THE SANTA FE SERIES.

KING PREDICTED THIS...

.

A nation or civilization that continues
to produce soft-minded men
purchases its own spiritual death
on the installment plan.

***
A nation that continues year after year
to spend more money on military defense
than on programs of social uplift
is approaching spiritual doom.
*****
History will have to record that
the greatest tragedy of this period of
social transition was not the strident clamor
of the bad people, but the appalling silence
of the good people.
